Beautiful large smoked Ethiopian Opal wrapped in 14kt Gold Fill. This is a natural Opal that has been treated to "smoke" or darken the matrix to better show off the flash. The flash and fire are original to the natural stone.
This pendant and chain are both 14/20 Gold Fill.
14/20 Gold Fill is 5% (1/20th) solid 14kt Gold on the outside, and the inside is another metal. Gold fill stands up well to wear and is much thicker than gold plating.
